ALEXISONFIRE - "Grey" - the solo parts (played by Dallas)
DISCLAIMER: This is all by ear, and I based it off of the live performance of this song
at the Westend Indoor Festival. The video is available here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0bo_MPKG7E and Grey plays at 28:10 into the video. This
tab should be about 75-85% accurate through playing by ear and trying to follow along
with the video.
Legend: h = hammer on
p = pull-off
harm = harmonic
wb = whammy bar (Dallas makes a lot of use of this when playing the
solos, especially at the end)
/ = slide up
\ = slide down
Tuning: Dropped Half Step (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)
To get the Alexisonfire like-sound, I suggest using an Overdrive (Dallas uses
Catalinbread Formula 5), and a reverb (like EHX Holy Grail or Earthquaker Devices Ghost
Echo. I'm
playing around with sounds myself.
1st interlude (after "...under a sky as grey as a whale's heart")

Optional Part after the Song Ends - see the video link at the end of the song leading into "Rough Hands"Eb----------------------------------------------------------------------------|Bb----------------------------------------------------------------------------|Gb----------------------------------------------------------------------------|Db-14wb-12wb-14wb-14\12wb\10-9wb-10/12/14-16-17-17-19-17h1617-----------------|Ab----------------------------------------------------------------------------|Eb----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

For a cool effect, keep the whammy bar on the 14th fret of D going with the help of a
reverb or something while the next guitar starts playing the opening riff for "Rough Hands"
Again, not 100% accurate, but probably 75-85% accurate.
I always welcome comments, concerns, questions, additions/omissions, or just general
feedback either on here or through email gnhawrelak@gmail.com
PS) Looking for someone (besides me, hopefully) to tab out Sons of Privilege
