Cardiac Arrest - Bad Suns
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Dave H
Awesome track from the up-and-coming SoCal-based Bad Suns...I'd highly
recommend their Transpose EP as well.
Pretty sure they play it tuned down half a step to allow for the
harmonics at the beginning, but I tabbed it out in standard tuning because I
hate alternate tuning and there's an easy way around the harmonics (see below).
Enjoy!
Tuning: Standard
No Capo
INTRO
Two options here... play the actual harmonic version, tune the whole
guitar down a half step, and add a number to all the notes on this tab or play
this in standard and call it good:

VERSE
1: "I've been trying to keep my grip, yeah I think I'm over this
I can hear it now, oh no
Yeah, my tongue, I'll let it slip. Why'd I do those things I did?
I can taste it now, oh no"
2: "My innards turn, your eyes, they roll. I'll be there to take the fall
I can feel it now, oh no
Same old story since day one, but I've got no place to run
I can see it now, oh no"

CHORUS
"I'll try my best. How much do I invest?
Like cardiac arrest, high voltage in her lips
I'll try my best. How much do I invest?
Like cardiac arrest, high voltage when we kiss"
This is as close to his strumming pattern as I could make it look;
give it a listen or two to try to match the rhythm if you have difficulty.
As far as I can tell he's just playing some broken chords derived from the
pentatonic scale so improv to whatever you think sounds good.

BRIDGE
"Oh Oh Ohhhh, Ohh Oh Ohhh,
High voltage in her lips, they catch me when I slip
Oh Oh Ohhhh, Ohh Oh Ohhh,
High voltage in her lips, they catch me when I slip"

Guitar 2e|------------------9--------------------------------------------------------|B|-------------9h11--11------------------------------------------------------|G|-------8/10-------------8/10------similar to the verse, there are some ----|D|-/8-11---------------11-----------background arpeggios in here that I -----|A|----------------------------------think are keys---------------------------|E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Repeat once, and add intro riff at the end right before chorus
OUTRO
The outro is played almost the same as the bridge is, but borrows some of the
lyrics from the chorus and changes the notes up a bit. Really he's just using
the bridge as an outline and adding a little flair; feel free to do the same
and improv to make it your own.
