Bon Iver – Calgary chords ver. 5
Chords:
This is a remarkably simple song. I'm fairly astounded at how marvelously incorrect the other tabs are here. Listen to the song carefully and play along. Some of the held- out chords might sound unnatural, but that's just because you're listening to the solo guitar, and he's moving around. The song is played in standard tuning, but with a capo on the 4th fret. The chords labeled Em* can be played as follows (this isn't exactly how it is in the recording, but I think it sounds pretty good):----x-----|----0-----|----0-----|----2-----|----2-----|----3-----|Intro: Em D Em Verse:C EmDon't you cherish me to sleep, aahhhhhC EmNever keep your eyelids clippedEm* DHold me for the pops and clicksC GI was only for the father's cribC EmEm D GHair, old, long alongC Gyour neck onto your shoulder blades, aahhhhhC Emalways keep that message tapedEm* DCross your breasts you won't eraseC GI was only for your very spaceCEm D GHip, under nothingC GPropped up by your other one, face 'way from the sunC EmJust have to keep a dialogueEm* DTeach our bodies: haunt the causeC GI was only trying to spell a lossCEm D GJoy, it's all foundedC GPincher with the skin inside, aahhhhhC EmYou pinned me with your black sphere eyesEm* DYou know that all the rope's untiedC GI was only for to die besideC Bridge: Em G(Still G)So it's storming on the lakeDLittle waves our bodies breakEm G(Still G)There's a fire going outDThere's really nothing to the soundEm G(Still G)Swollen orange and light let throughDYour one piece swimmer stuck to youC Back to the verse:Em D GSold, I'm everC GOpen ears and open eyes, aahhhhhC EmWake up to your starboard brideEm* DWho goes in and then stays insideC G Oh the demons come, they can subsideC
