This is a really nice cover of the song chasing cars by snow patrol, and is actually
fairly easy to play and doesnt require re-tuning (like most of their covers), which is
useful. It may not be fully correct, and they miss out parts of the original song,
but it goes something like this:
Standard Tuning, Capo 2, tabs and chords relative to capo

Main Chorus - Strum: G - G - D/F# - D/F# - C - C - G - G
each bar stresses the strum on the third beat
Bridge 2 (the 'lets waste time' part)
just palm-mute the bass notes G, F# and C. It's not quite what they do, but sounds alright.
Main chorus repeat, same strumming
Last part, strum once: G - D/F# - C
Here are the lyrics:
We'll do it all,
Everything,
On our own.
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone.
If I lay here,
If I just lay here,
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel.
Those three words
Are said too much.
They're not enough.
If I lay here,
If I just lay here,
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old.
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads.
If I lay here,
If I just lay here,
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old.
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
If I lay here,
If I just lay here,
Would you lay with me and just forget the world?
hope thats ok, and any mistakes in my tab are easy to figure out. enjoy :)
