Daughter – Landfill chords ver. 5
Chords:
I tried all the different versions but I found none of them completely satisfying. I would basically play the verse like the version 3 but I would switch the chords for the chorus, a bit like in version 4 but not with the same sequence. Anyway I don't pretend to offer the right version but just the one that sounds good to me: &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Capo on the 2nd fretAm CThrow me in a landfillFmaj7/C GDon't think about the consequencesAm CThrow me in a dark pitFmaj7/C GDon't think about the choices that you madeAm CThrow me in the waterFmaj7/C GDon't think about the splash I will createAm CLeave me at the altarFmaj7/C GKnowing all the things you've just escapedAm CPush me out to seaFmaj7/C GOn a little boat that you madeAm COf the evergreenFmaj7/C GThat you helped your father cut awayAm CLeave me on the tracksFmaj7/C GTo wait until the morning train arrivesAm CDon't you dare look backFmaj7/C GWalk away catch up with the sun riseAm Fmaj7/C C GCause this is torturousAm Fmaj7/C C GElectricity between both of usAm Fmaj7/C C Gand this is dangerousAm Fmaj7/CCause I want you so muchC GBut I hate your guts, I hate youAm CLeave me in the coldFmaj7/C GWait until the snow covers me upAm CSo I cannot move;Fmaj7/C GSo I'm just embedded in the frostAm CLeave me in the rainFmaj7/C GWait until my clothes cling to my frameAm CWipe away your tear stainsFmaj7/C GI thought you said you didn't feel the painAm Fmaj7/C C GCause this is torturousAm Fmaj7/C C GElectricity between both of usAm Fmaj7/C C Gand this is dangerousAm Fmaj7/CCause I want you so muchC GBut I hate your guts, I hate youAm Fmaj7/CCause I want you so muchC GBut I hate your gutsAm Fmaj7/C C GCause this is torturousAm Fmaj7/C C GElectricity between both of usAm Fmaj7/C C Gand this is dangerousAm Fmaj7/CCause I want you so muchC GBut I hate your guts, I hate youAm Fmaj7/CCause I want you so muchC GBut I hate your guts&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& I just basically rearranged the version 3 by changing the chorus chords sequence from Am C Fmaj7/C G to Am Fmaj7/C C G You can notice this sequence especially on the second part of the chorus where it is much easier to hear the guitar. For the chorus I let Fmaj7/C though we can hardly hear the 7th. I thought it might help. Anyway, amazing song which beauty lies in its simplicity.
