Hey this is how I like to play Hotel California. The intro and solo certainly arenÂ’t standard, but neither is the song when itÂ’s played live. I like the way this sounds. ItÂ’s really tabbed for classical guitar, and thatÂ’s why I have the solo as just various arpeggiated chords, being that itÂ’s tough to bend 3 or even 2 frets on a classical.

During the verses, you can choose to either arpeggiate the chords or strum them. I prefer a strum, because I do variated arpeggios for the solo.

Solo: I just re-pick the intro, but do it about 2x faster. You can screw around and arpeggiate chords as you wish. ItÂ’s your song.
