Tuned down 1/2-step
Comments: I've seen this riff tabbed out before and every time it's been
wrong. (The worst offender I've seen was the Best of KISS tab book that
is on the shelves. It doesn't even have the right key.) Now, I probably
shouldn't cast stones here because I realised I've been playing it wrong
when I tabbed it properly. Really, it's a very simple riff (and there is
really just one riff in the entire song). The trick to it is Paul's style
of playing. As I've said before, he fingers power chords using only his
first and third fingers, laying a partial barre with the third finger.
This causes him to include the major third of the chord every once in a
while. He uses the same thing here. The third finger frets everything on
the 6th fret and the first finger deals with most everything else. The
notes in parenthesis here are notes that are hit occasionally because
Paul uses the third finger (he sometimes plays single notes and sometimes
does the partial barre). Be sure to slide up from the 4th fret to the 9th
with your first finger. The solo is shared, first half is Paul, the
second is Ace.
