Halestorm
Love Bites (So Do I)
Drop D tuning (DADgbe)
This is my first tab submitted here. I like to play a lot of the open D notes with
the open A string to make it sound a little heavier.

p = pull off
h = hammer on
b = bend
br = slowly release or let down the note you are bending
/s/ = slide to
v = vibrato (pretty much whatever your not bending in the solo)
Intro (Starts with a slide) (approx. 0:04)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|----------------6-5-------------------------------|D|0-00-3p0-00-5p0-6-5-------------------------------|
Verse Part A (Very similar to this)(try swapping some opens with dead notes)(0:20)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|0-3-5b-0-00-0-00-0-00-0---------------------------|
Verse Part B (just strum this A# power chord) (listen to the song to figure out the rhythm to it)(0:23)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|3-------------------------------------------------|A|1-------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|
Post Verse/Pre-Chorus Part A(0:33)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|-----5-5------------------------------------------|A|3-3--3-3------------------------------------------|D|3-3-----------------------------------------------|

Chorus (Sounds like sometimes the guitarist strums these)(0:43)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|------3--------5----------------------------------|A|0--3--1--0--3--3----------------------------------|D|0--3-----0--3-------------------------------------|
Then you repeat
Post-Chorus(1:38)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|33333333-22222222---------------------------------|A|11111111-00000000-55555555------------------------|D|------------------55555555------------------------|
Break (Very Similar)(1:44)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|888-775-0-----------------------------------------|D|888-775-0-----------------------------------------|
Very Heavy Break (Very Similar)(1:52)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|0-3-5-0-------------------------------------------|x2
(1:54)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|0-3-5-0-6-5-0-------------------------------------|
(1:55)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------6-5-3-0-----------------------------------|D|0-3-5-0-------------------------------------------|
(2:08) Play very quickly: I tremelo pick the low D string and land the the 3rd and 5th frets and it works out to sound the same.e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|0-3-5-0-------------------------------------------|
(2:13)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|------3-------------------------------------------|A|0--3--1-------------------------------------------|D|0--3----------------------------------------------|
Solo (If you have heavy gauge strings like me you need to really bend these notes to get them to sound like the song)(2:20)e|-------/s/-13v-15b-15v---20b-20v------------------|b|/s/-15v-------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|
while bending fret 20 (the note G) on the b string:(2:24)e|-------20-----------------------------------------|b|-20b////////-20br---------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|
(2:26)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|-18-20-18-20v-------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|
(2:27) (Very Similar)e|-------17-20-20-17--------------------------------|b|-18-20-------------20-18--------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|
back to the chorus
At the very end there is some kind of variation on the break at 1:44It is similar to this:(2:59)e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|7-0-5-0-7-0-5-0-888-775-0-------------------------|D|7-0-5-0-7-0-5-0-888-775-0-------------------------|
Also note at spots like (0:40) and (1:21) it sounds like the guitarist is just pulling off these notes:e|--------------------------------------------------|b|--------------------------------------------------|g|--------------------------------------------------|D|--------------------------------------------------|A|--------------------------------------------------|D|5p3p0---------------------------------------------|
And that ends the song. Its a fun song to play and was good practice to learn by ear.
Hope it helps.
