Oh, i think it sounds better when you don't use a pick, just because it's all on one
and im using a line 6 amp with an acoustic. for electric you should probably use a pick.
h - hammer on
p - pull off
b - bend string up
r - release bend
/ - slide up
\ - slide down
v - vibrato (sometimes written as ~)
t - right hand tap
x - damp the note
