I don't know how it -should- be played. But this is
how I play it myself. And seeing as I never had any guitar
lessons, (not yet anyway) I would appreciate it if I could
be corrected where I'm wrong.
(clean sound with 'chorus')
Riff A:
e|-5---------| B|---5---5---| G|-----7-----| D|-----------| A|-----------| E|-----------|
Riff B:
|-----5---------5----------------------------| |---5---5-----5---5-------6-5-------5-6-5----| |-7-------7-6-------7---7-----7---7----------| X2|---------------------7---------7------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------|
Solo (a whole lotta distortion and 'chorus'):
|-6-6-5-5-6-6-5-5-6-6-5-3-5--6-6-5-3-5-------| |--------------------------------------0-0h2-| (Not entirely sure about |--------------------------------------------| those last three notes at |--------------------------------------------| the ending there)|--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------|
|-6-6-5-5-6-6-8-8-6-6-5-3-5------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------|
~|-6-6-5-5-6-6-6/8-6-8-8-7-7-8-8-8/10-8-10----| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------|
After this part of the solo riff B is played again and you can improvise a
little on the rest of the solo. I usually do something along these lines,
myself;
~ ~ ~ ~
e|-10--/12--10h12p10-6-----------------------|
0:35 - Riff A
0:53 - Riff B x2
1:28 - Riff A
1:47 - Riff B x3
3:16 - Solo
3:50 - Riff B
