Neil Finn – Song Of The Lonely Mountain chords
Chords:
This tune contains a whole heap of truncated bars that I've indicated using the numbers in brackets next to the chord. If you imagine that each unnumbered chord (such as Fm) is 8 beats long, then the numbers in the brackets are equal to the number of beats that the chord in question lasts for. Hope that makes sense ;) I play it using Em chord shapes with a capo on the first fret. If you'd like to play it this way, just transpose the chords down a semitone (using the built in tool in Ultimate Guitar at the top left of the tab-"transpose") with a capo at 1. I've written "horde"...But really, I don't have the foggiest what that word is actually supposed to be :PFm FmFar over the Misty Mountains riseEb FmLead us standing upon the heightCm GmWhat was before we see once moreAb(4) Eb(2) FmIs our kingdom a distant lightFm(6) FmFiery mountain beneath a moonEb GmThe words aren't spoken, we'll be there soonCm GmFor home a song that echoes onAb(4) Eb(2) FmAnd all who find us will know the tuneFmSome folk we never forgetFmSome kind we never forgiveEbHaven't seen the back of us yetBbmWe'll fight as long as we liveFmAll eyes on the hidden doorFmTo the Lonely Mountain hordeEbWe'll ride in the gathering stormBbm(4) Db(2) Eb(2) FmUntil we get our long forgotten goldFm FmWe lay under the Misty Mountains coldEb FmIn slumbers deep, and dreams of goldCm GmWe must awake, our lives to makeAb(4) Eb(2) FmAnd in the darkness a torch we holdFm(6) FmFrom long ago when lanterns burnedEb GmUntil this day our hearts have yearnedCm GmA fate unknown, the ArkenstoneAb(4) Eb(4) Fm(4)What was stolen must be returnedBbm(4) Ab(2) Db(2) Bbm Ab(6) Eb(2) BbmFm CmWe must away ere break of dayDb(6) Eb(2) BbmTo find our song for heart and soulFmSome folk we never forgetFmSome kind we never forgiveEbHaven't seen the end of it yetBbmWe'll fight as long as we liveFmAll eyes on the hidden doorFmTo the Lonely Mountain hordeEbWe'll ride in the gathering stormBbm(4) Ab (2) Eb(2) FmUntil we get our long forgotten goldDbM7(4) G(2) Ebsus2(2) FmFar away the Misty Mountains cold.(Transposed by elasticrunaway)
