Here's the version of Dark End of the Street that I've got - learned it from
a Percy Sledge recording though, not the Commitments soundtrack.

Dark End of the Street

         G F#min Emin
At the dark end of the street
         G F#min Emin
That's where we'd always meet
             G C G
Hiding in shadows where we don't belong
               C D G
Living in darkness to hide our wrong
C G C D G
You and me, at the dark end of the street
C G
You and me

             G F#min Emin
I know that time's gonna take it's toll
             G F#min Emin
We've got to give back all the love that we stole
        G C G
It's a sin and we know it's wrong
           C D G
Oh but our love keeps coming on strong
C G C D G
Steal away, to the dark end of the street
C G

        G
They're going to find us
        F#min
They're going to find us
        Emin
They're going to find us
C G
Oh someday
C G C D G
You and me, at the dark end of the street
C G
You and me

              G# Gmin Fmin
And when the daylight time comes around
          G# Gmin Fmin
And if by chance we walk downtown
              G# C# G#
If you should see me just walk on by
     C# D# G#
But darling, please don't cry
C# G# C# D# G#
Tonight we'll meet, at the dark end of the street
C# G#

I usually don't do the key change for the final verse, but it was there in
the original so I thought I'd include it for the purists in the bunch. BTW,
the lyrics may be a little screwy, my favourite version of this tune was
recorded by Richard Thompson and my memory of the words may include some of
his own idiosyncratic choices.
